Google indexing site under Blog Post

A very interesting discussion is going on in webmasterworld forum. The thread is about Why Google considering a site as a blog and listing them under the results with a label “Blog post about”, when simple the site is not a blog.


Well, some of the webmasters thinking that this might be because of the RSS feeds in the site which Google referring as a blog and displaying them in the results page.


There are various sites who contains RSS Feeds but does that mean Google will list their site under blog post. Why Google misclassifying those sites? Do they really hurt the webmaster if their site appear in Blog post. Does it hurt ranking?
